--- Information ---

Welcome to the Summer Night Concert in the Schönbrunn Palace Park, an annual event which is one of the major highlights of our concert season.
The orchestral stage for today's concert has been constructed for the first time before the backdrop of Schönbrunn Palace. The view of the palace transports us to the world of fairy tales and myths, and musical forms and song are well–suited to evoking an atmosphere of enchantment and wonder. It was the composers of the romantic era who understood best how to transform this message into magical sounds. As a result, the program of this year's concert is dedicated to selected compositions by Antonín Dvorák, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninov and Engelbert Humperdinck. In addition, music of Igor Stravinsky will be heard, as well as John Williams, who is most well–known for his film music. These composers will abduct the audience on a journey into a world beyond the rational. We are especially pleased that soprano Renée Fleming and Maestro Christoph Eschenbach will be joining us for this concert
